Treated 24 to 48 hours before, on purpose
The timing is the service. Treatments are applied 24 to 48 hours before the event, which gives them time to settle into the harborage, the shaded and humid growth at the edges of a property where mosquitoes actually rest, rather than sitting on the surface of the lawn where it does very little. Same day fogging looks reassuring and works far less well. The other thing the window buys is weather tolerance: once it has settled, the treatment stays effective even if it rains between the visit and the day, which in an Alabama summer is not a remote possibility.
What gets covered on the day before
The whole boundary of the event space is walked, not just the patch where the tables are going. Fence lines, the treeline behind them, planting beds against the house, and any standing water within reach of the party. There is no ongoing commitment attached: this is one visit for one date. Plenty of people book it for a specific occasion, find the garden noticeably different, and move onto a recurring program afterwards, but nothing obliges you to.

Booking around a date
Call with the date and roughly where guests will be, and the visit is scheduled to land in the 24 to 48 hour window ahead of it.
