The organic program works differently from the barrier mist. Rather than killing on contact, it makes the treated growth an unattractive place for mosquitoes to rest, so the population moves off the property instead of settling in it. It carries a lighter environmental footprint, which is usually the reason people ask for it: households with young children who live on the lawn all summer, keen gardeners who are protective of what is working the beds, and anyone who would simply rather not have conventional pesticide chemistry on the boundary.

So the organic program is reapplied every 14 days rather than every 21 to 25, which means more visits across a season than the Barrier Shield program needs. The walk itself does not change.
